Japan 13 - 27 Mar 2016 Day 15 - Tokyo Station Ramen St Rokurinsha / Ueno / Nippori / Tokyo Narita Airport

It's my last day in Japan! RJ went off to meet her friend and I went off to eat Rokurinsha, tsukemen rated number 1 on Tokyo Station Ramen Street, and the one with the longest queue. HOORAY!

Quiet along Azuma at 7.30am

Towards Ramen Street at Tokyo Station...

Queueing queueing for breakfast ramen at 8.15am

THE Tsukemen!
The broth was super tasty
The noodles were chewy and yummy!
After finishing the noodles, I copied patrons before me and went to add water/clear soup to the thick broth in order to drink the soup. This tsukemen must be taken HOT else it won't be that nice anymore!

After finishing my food, I walked around outside Tokyo Station and found myself in an area with lots of offices and nothing much to see. So i decided to make a trip to Ueno to purchase my Skyliner ticket towards Narita Airport.

36min to airport.
I purchased my ticket from a kind of irritating person, though i couldn't place the reason why i found him irritating. I also purchased RJ's ticket for her. And then i went out to explore Ameyokocho.

Very bustling! With tourists and locals
Haha this kind of looks fusion
I found this street really interesting. There were wet market type of stores selling seafood, fish, meat, vegetables etc and the stall owners were vigorous and loud, calling out, persuading, negotiating etc. There were also many shops selling shoes, sneakers, etc. Thought it was a pity that I didn't make it to the musuem, I should go the next time!!

Came across this escalator at Ueno station. Was very impressed by its shape hurhur, very noob.
On the way back to Ikebukuro, I decided to recee Nippori station, which I was going to go to, to take the skyliner.

No.. No stairs! Went the other way for the lift

To platform 1 for Skyliner!

After I had familiarised myself with the station, I went on back to the room at Ikekuburo and packed the rest of my stuff. Since there was a box of instant noodle left, I ate that for lunch. Was very impressed by the elaborate packaging which allowed me to pour the water out with ease. No noodle was lost in the sink.

Lift the flap numbered (3)
Tada!!!!
Went out for dessert shopping and saw beautiful cakes displayed in the cake counter of a cafe along Azuma.

Wah the framboise, the framboise!
Decided on the berry tart. Looks soo preeeety!
One more time! Berry Tart!
Why didn't I realise this shop was Mutekiya and sold to queue for yummy ramen?!
On the way to the airport, I realised that Mutekiya was very close to our room. I came across a few rave reviews and I am sure I missed out not having  tried the ramen here. Sigh! Anyway onwards to the Skyliner!

Lots of leg space and little ppl on the skyliner.
I thought the sky looked beautiful during the ride to the airport

My flighttt!

Fast forward the efficient airport services, comfortable SQ ride, yummy airplane food, non stop in-flight entertainment, and we touched down in Singapore. Was amused by a basin I saw at my void deck.

Doesn't this remind of the slwdding at Gala Yuzawa? Lola.
Dumpling noodle! I missed you!
