Ah Hua Kway Teow has been operating at Jalan Segget in Restoran Sekee for years. It is walkable distance from JB's City Square Mall and situated in a rather quiet corner beside a roast duck shop which has a banner declaring they are Dian Xiao Er's consultant.
Back to Ah Hua Kway Teow Tng. Its pork bone soup is cooked over charcoal (you can see the fire burning from the picture above), and each bowl is freshly cooked. The waiting time is indeed pretty long, but it's worth it. Every bowl remains consistent, every time I visit... Ah first up, my Kway Teow Ta (Dry).
Did I ever share that I found Msia's kway teow much nicer than Sg's? I also don't know why. The kway teow here is just different. It's white, soft and smooth and I love it.
The kway teow dry is served with some tomato sauce and chilli. It comes with a nice bowl of soup and you can specify your choice of meat/organs to be added in it. For me, liver, pork, kidney, always. ALWAYS. The kidney here, fresh, not too grainy or mushy. Very well cooked. The liver, slightly crunchy. Superb kidney and liver guys.
And if you want the full works, for RM 16, you get a bowl of everything, fish maw, oysters and a whole load of happiness.
The oysters, get the oysters. Ah Hua's oysters, really can get. They are small but fresh. And when you dip them into the chilli sauce and eat them with the parsley, you will feel... Happy.
Ok, I want to go take taxi to woodlands check point already.
