YR n I had wanted to celebrate LQ's bday tonight and we had 2 tasks:
1) Buy pyjamas for a PJ bday celebration
2) Buy cake and candles
I loitered around Platinum Mall in search for PJ, but my conclusion is that PJs are unbelievably overpriced in Platinum Mall. Like are you really charging me 450b for this type of PJ?
So I decided to postpone PJ buying to the Siam night market.
And off we went to Siam Square for food. We cut across Central World to get to Siam Square and saw this giant teddy, kawaiiiii~~~
Once we reached Siam Square, I made a beeline towards Mango Tango's pop up store. I prefer to eat there because it's not crowded and there is no minimum order quantity, unlike the main store.! I was looking forward to Mango Tango, cos I really like the desserts there! We were also going to check out After You since it seems very popular.
Mango Tango 120 - Mango pudding, Ice cream and Mango
Mango Aloha - Mango with Milk Sago (my favvv!)
Soooo niceeeee, I should just eat this for lunch. Eating this for dessert is such a waste since I was too full to enjoy it nicely.
After demolishing the desserts, we went on to After You. It looked like there was no queue on the outside ao we dilly dallied. However realised the queue was inside once we stepped in lololo. So after 20minutes of queuing we finally got a seat!
The famous Shibuya Honey Toast
And hmm a cookie dough dessert (Can't recall the name)
And so after After You (hurhur), we took the BTS to Saphan Taksin BTS to take the shuttle ferry to Asiatique. It was a pretty good place to chill the night away. Although touristy, I was glad we made the trip there!
Decided to have drinks at a nice looking resturant and ended up ordering food.
The food was ok, but we had a great chat over food and drinks! We were so used to seeing each other every day over work however there were so many things we didn't know about each other. It was very nice and I enjoyed this dinner alot, felt that we got to know each other a little better!
In fact I enjoyed dinner so much that I forgot an important thing, which was to ensure that we got a bday cake for LQ's bday celebration.
But so thankfully, we managed to get everything at Pratunam! Cute PJs from the night market, cake from Tom n Tom(s?) and candles from the 7-11 near our hotel (phew). And so we set up everything nicely outside the toilet and gave LQ a supplise!!!!! Hahaha no photos of our PJed selves will be uploaded. Happy Birthday LQ!!
As we would be flying off tomorrow early afternoon, we quickly packed and got ready to zzz, byeee Bangkok!

The toast was indeed yummy and can be described as a very high quality thick toast. Hurhurhur. The maple syrup honey was the highlight and LQ n YR were drinking it like soup to my internal horror. Exactly this expression:
Lol! The other dessert was so sweet that I thought I might faint. It is pretty though. We also got an hot apple cider which I liked quite abit.
