I decided to visit the City Square Mall branch because it would be less crowded and I was right!! I reached the resturant and was shown to my seat immediately. I ordered the Karashi Ramen which is the spicy version of the Marutama Ramen, and boiled gyoza because it felt abit more healthy. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. The noodles arrived quickly!
Followed by the gyoza!
The ramen came with egg, seaweed, and 1 piece of chashu (I ordered the version with less meat). I found the paitan broth creamy, yet not too heavy.it was however more salty than I would have preferred, though many might beg to defer. The cha shu was well flavoured and very tender! Clap clap! The noodles were slim and pretty firm, which was good and I really liked it that fried crunchy garlic slices were provided. They really added flavour to the soup, abeit a slightly localised kind of flavour.
The star of the show, however was the boiled gyoza for me. I really liked them!! The gyoza skin was so smooth and soft and the fillings very tasty. The combination of chilli oil and vinegar was totally up my alley! So.. Another pic of the gyozas pls!!
