Crust's pizza menu indeed consists of several interesting ones like Wagyu Beef and Prawn, Szechuan Chilli Prawn, Roast Duck, Salmon Benedict, Fresh Prosciutto etc.
After eons of looking at their menu, we decided on the cheese balls, Oven Roasted Cajun Chicken Wings and a combination of Roast Duck pizza & Philly Wagyu Steak. Oh and beer too - Eat Pizza, Need Beer.
I got Peroni Pale Lager and ZZM got Fat Yak Pale Ale. Peroni was straightforward, crisp and light but I thought Fat Yak was really yums. Firstly, it's got a great golden colour (lol). Secondly it was really smooth. Thirdly, it had fruity notes! I checked the label and it was passionfruit & melon. I probably would return to Crust for Fat Yak if I can't find it anywhere else.
Half n half pizza of Roast Duck and Philly Wagyu Steak. Both ZZM and I agreed that Roast Duck was good while Philly was forgettable. The pizza dough was chewy, liked it.
The oven baked cajun wings were not too bad. Thin crispy cajun flavoured skin.
The cheese balls tasted very salty and processed, I would not eat it again.
I had a blast catching up and talking about days past. Was glad to have reconnected with an old friend and I appreciated the gift of 2 salted egg potato chips I got LOL! Thanks ZZM!
Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar at HV was a pretty nice place for drinks and chats, but for that price range, I probably would prefer to pizza out at pepperoni pizzeria.
